I produced and directed this short video featured as an Op-Ed documentary on nytimes.com. The short is a selection from “Silent Partners”, an official selection of Newfest 2010. Pop Matters gave the documentary a 9/10 rating.
The film premiered in 2009 with an introduction by Lt. Dan Choi, one of the most visible leaders of the movement to repeal the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy. After the film’s release, its anonymous subject contributed to a Department of Defense panel to help formulate plans for the repeal of DADT. He was also invited to witness the signing of the repeal and got to personally thank President Obama.

I edited and shot additional camera on this look behind the scenes of Aardman Animation’s series Creature Comforts America. The short provides a glimpse into a unique hybrid of animation and documentary.
A review of the series in The New York Times called it “a feat of audio editing”. Thanks New York Times!
